Leap Year: Make the Most of It…

February 29th, 2016
By Vantha

Did you realize that today is February 29th? A leap day!  Yeah, yeah, so why do we care?

A leap year occurs approximately every four years. The addition of an extra day to the Gregorian calendar occurs so that it aligns and correctly matches the length of a solar year. A solar year is the time it takes for the Earth to make one revolution around the sun (equals to 365.242199 days)

Blah blah- that’s all the scientific reasons why it matters. So, the reason it matters to the majority of us? We have an EXTRA day to spread more love. A Chevrolet campaign designated as “Day It Forward” pushes to remind us to help others. So what will you do today?
Volunteer, spread some kindness, make a difference <3 No act of kindness is ever wasted!
