Honor. Serve. Protect.

Our military men, women, and dogs do so much for our country. This Memorial Day we’d like to THANK them by sending donations to some special K-9 Soldiers. For every box purchased on Memorial Day (May 30th), we’ll match that and send it to a dog that is deployed!

You can sign up here!

What to do more? There are SO many wonderful organizations that allow you to send donations to our furry friends overseas, as well as their human companions. Here are a few organizations that you can work with to send donations:

The United States War Dog Association, Inc.

“The United States War Dogs Association, Inc. is a nonprofit organization of Former and Current US Military Dog Handlers and supporting members committed to promoting the long history of the Military Service Dogs, establishing permanent War Dog Memorials, and educating the public about the invaluable service of these canines to our country.

Our background in military War Dog service and our dedication to honoring the memory of the service and sacrifice of the US Military Working Dogs gives us a unique perspective that we can use to educate the public on the history of Military War Dogs.”

You can check out a full listed of needed items for both K-9 and human soldiers here!

Kevlar for K9s

“Kevlar for K9s is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to help protect America’s working K9s, whether they’re serving domestically or overseas. These K9s represent the first line of defense in many military and civilian operations. They are the “go to” members of the team when suspicions of bombs exist or when dangerous criminals are on the loose. Whenever their handlers’ lives are threatened, the dogs’ lives are also threatened.”

MWDTSA- Military Working Dog Dog Team Support Association, Inc

“The organization, Military Working Dog Team Support Association, Inc., (MWDTSA) was formed in Georgia, in 2007, to coordinate, channel and encourage support from individuals, organizations and corporations to benefit active duty and retired U.S. military working dogs and dog handlers. MWDTSA brings to their donors a dedicated, innovative and responsive approach by serving as a conduit to direct critical products and services which fulfill real needs of dogs and dog handlers.”

Packages from Home

“Packages From Home began as a labor of love for my son, Christian, a soldier with the Army’s 1st Infantry Division. Christian was deployed to Iraq in March 2004. I began sending care packages to him on a regular basis. When I received a phone call from him thanking me for all of the comfort items from home, I found out that my son was the only soldier in his squad receiving any packages from home. Some friends and I decided to adopt his squad, and began shipping packages to the men in his unit. This is the point where “Packages From Home” was born.”

These are just a FEW of the many services out there. It’s important to contact any organization before you send your donation or package to verify shipping details!
